Code of Conduct

Geolah prioritizes safety and reliability for all users. We have a strict Code of Conduct that customers must follow to maintain a positive community. Violations may lead to disciplinary action, including account suspension or termination. 

1. Zero Tolerance for Harm

  • Avoid harassment: Any form of harassment, including physical violence, verbal threats, or sexual misconduct, is strictly prohibited.
  • Respect boundaries: After the trip, refrain from contacting your driver unless it's necessary to retrieving a lost item.

2. Obey Traffic Laws

  • Follow regulations: Always adhere to road safety regulations.
  • Avoid illegal requests: Never ask your driver to break the law, such as speeding or stopping in restricted / unsafe areas.
  • Child restraint: A child standing between 1m-1.35m tall is to be secured with an appropriate restraint, booster seat, or adjustable seatbelt. Under the Road Traffic Act, drivers and customers found not using a seatbelt or appropriate restraints could be fined up to $1,000 or jailed for up to three months, or both.

3. Ride Safe

  • Buckle up: Always wear a seatbelt to avoid getting fined.
  • Secure others: Protect children, babies, and pets by using the proper safety equipment as required by local laws (e.g. child booster seats)
  • Ride protector: All our rides are covered up to $10,000.
  • Report suspicious behavior: If you suspect your driver is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, end the trip immediately and contact the authorities. Report the incident to Geolah as well.

4. Respect Property

  • Avoid damage: We have a zero-tolerance policy for theft, robbery, and property damage (e.g. damage to the car)
  • Legal consequences: Any such action may result in legal penalties.

5. Prohibited Items

  • Avoid illegal items: Prohibited items, such as vapes, drugs, weapons, and hazardous materials, are not allowed in the vehicle. Smoking and vaping are also prohibited during bookings.
  • Avoid illegal transportation: Do not use Geolah to transport illegal items.

6. Respect Your Driver

  • Be prompt: Only book a ride when you're ready to go and be punctual during bookings.
  • Communicate clearly: Communicate with your driver to ensure you meet at the correct location.
  • Verify identity: Verify your driver's identity before entering the vehicle or handing over your parcel.
  • Be considerate: Treat your driver with respect and avoid inappropriate or undesirable behavior.
  • Take your belongings: Remember to collect your items and dispose of your trash before leaving the vehicle.
  • Provide fair ratings: Show your appreciation for your driver by providing a fair rating and honest feedback.
  • Tipping: We encourage tipping to support our drivers’ community.
  • Data privacy: Keep personal data confidential.

7. Be a Responsible Customer

  • Choose the right service:
  • a) Select the appropriate service type based on your needs.
  • b) Indicate if you require a child seat/boot space/foldable wheelchair
  • Honest conduct: Do not share or create duplicate accounts.
  • Proper usage: Avoid overloading the vehicle or using the service for moving bulky items
  • Accurate payment: Make sure your payment amount and method are correct, and the final fare is accurate
  • Account security: Keep your account information updated and do not share your account with anyone.
